New Vivian Maier website and book announced

Many readers know from a previous posting that I'm a big fan of Vivian Maier's photography.  There's a totally revamped and upgraded, professional-quality website dedicated to her work and research about her life.  Check it out here.

This is the e-mail I received today that announced its launch, and the forthcoming publication of a Vivian Maier book:

Introducing the brand new Vivian Maier website!

Dear James ,
Welcome to our first newsletter! Over the last few months we have been working on a new website for Vivian Maier and today we are proud to announce the launch of it at www.vivianmaier.com.

You can view some of her never before published works, learn more about Maier and read the latest in-depth research we conducted. You can also pre-order the first Vivian Maier book which will be published this fall by powerHouse.

The website, created by Martin Fuchs, offers a clean uncluttered design and easy to use layout which is also optimized for use on the iPad. It embodies the Maloof collection's forward–thinking vision and commitment to promote the work of Vivian Maier, and to safeguard the archive for the benefit of future generations.

We hope you will enjoy the new site and are looking forward to getting your input and suggestions! You can e-mail us at info@vivianmaier.com
