CNN iReport posted a recent article discussing the use of cell phones for recording still and video images. It's titled, How to Take Good Pictures With Different Cameras. Obviously, they have an ulterior interest in having as many cameras out there as possible, and in getting news worthy pictures and videos from unpaid amateurs.
However, the article is instructive and worth taking a look at. Just keep in mind that CNN is just like every other news organization. They're dealing with diminishing revenues and expanding demands for timely images. For them, free material is always better than paying for it.
