How to Shoot a New Location

For those of us who live to take pictures, traveling offers new and wonderful opportunities. But many start shooting as soon as their feet land on the ground, and they don't take the camera from their eye until they check their baggage.

David duChemin takes a more mindful approach. He says arriving at a new place "is a little like a first date." The best thing to do is a lot of listening and less talking.
