Attachments ... part 4 of a 4 part series

All images in this series were photographed within 150 feet of my front door. They are part of Project 150.

Except for his bald head, this appears to be a healthy young male cardinal in every other respect. Notice the tiny feather on the head that serves as his crest.  If anyone has any idea why this cardinal looks this way, please offer it in the response section.
